Through Movement®
In this application of the method, Cynthia verbally leads students through engaging, gentle movement explorations, safely breaking down complete actions into their smaller movement components. Avoiding pain and strain, each student has the opportunity to explore old habits of moving and new possibilities for more effective, comfortable movement. As students master how they can learn more dynamically, they gain consciousness of how the mind (intention) and body (action) can work together more smoothly with increased ease and control. These classes are fun! They empower students by offering a new awareness of options for reducing or eliminating pain while increasing fluency and fluidity in everyday movements. These benefits extend to a general sense of well-being and an appreciation of individual strategies for learning and thinking.
